Creative Cultures Scotland and Transition Extreme are running an art and craft fair at the transition Extreme building (Queens Links, Aberdeen Beach). I will be showcasing new work and selling lots of Christmas goodies and cards, pop down and see me!

Junction Art
Junction art will be showcasing several of Gabi's paintings in this years Christmas show at Junction Art & Gifts (Holburn St, Aberdeen). The show runs from until january 2009.

Granite City Gazette article
Gabrielle has been featured in the Granite City Gazette, a magazine celebrating local business in Aberdeen. Junction art were approached and owner Elaine Thomson was asked to showcase an artist for the 31st edition...and chose Gabi. You can find the magazine in many west end shops

Small Stories...
Gabrielle has produced a range of beautiful and contemporary jewellery under the umbrella called "Small Stories". G-R-A have decided to create a new mini-website to launch and showcase this area of work by Gabrielle, which will be updated regularly. Small Stories will be available at the Creative Cultures art and craft fair on the 13th & 14th of December

Camphill Medical practice group show
Gabrielle has submitted some work for the annual Camphill Medical Practice winter show - raising money for the Camphill estate. The show opens on the 18th of November 2008.

Gabrielle has been working closely with Gordon Watt at MorningGlass Designs to produce drawings for use in his stained & fused glass work. Several commissions have been successfully completed. For more information visit the MorningGlass website.

The Bonham Hotel celebrates its tenth year of trading. To celebrate, they have asked Gabi to show new work at their party on the 26th of June

Gabrielle had work shown in the annual Aberdeen Artists Exhibition. "AGM" (Oil on Canvas) was sold.

Gabrielle has been commissioned by the Gordon Highlanders Museum to produce the Bydand mascot as a cartoon character for their kids club. She will be working closely with husband Phil Thompson on animating the character...more soon.

Gabrielle was asked by Aberdeen University to illustrate the winning story for the Toulmin Prize announced at the Word'08 festival. Published in the Leopard magazine, copies can be bought through their website

Gabrielle has been commissioned by Aberdeen City Council to produce the cover for the latest book "Oor wey o' spikin" from Wordfirsts. A compilation of short stories by Aberdeen secondary pupils [link]
