For this years Open Studios event, Philip Thompson and I will be based at the Gordon Highlanders Museum, Viewfield Road, Aberdeen, AB15 7XH. from:

We will be showing new work, as well as running some experimental classes, for the Camouflage'08 project, spearheadded by the Gordon Highlanders.
Saturday 13th - 10am - 4pm
Meet the artists. Gabrielle & Philip will be showcasing their new work. Painting, Jewellery, Printmaking, Slate Etching, Drawing & digital work will all be on show.
Wine and nibbles will be served during the day.
The Gordon Highlanders will be opening their doors to the Camouflage'08 exhibition for free too - so please visit this interesting exhibition within the Museum!

Camouflage collage open participation. Gabrielle & Philip will be working on several large works over the week - inviting the public to participate by leaving their mark on work inspired by camouflage pattern.

Digital video drop-in. Work with Philip Thompson on exploring the natural surroundings of the Gordon Highlanders with digital video. Footage will be taken during the day and later edited. The results will be posted on the Camouflage'08 website & Philip's own website. ^top

Art in the garden (Weather permitting!) - Gabrielle & Philip will be asking local artist Susie Hunt to join in with a workshop at the Gordon Highlanders looking at natural colours, shapes and textures.

Digital abstraction with Philip Thompson. Work from Philip's recent Masters of Fine Art course at Gray's School of Art will be on show. This interactive work explores processes of reduction & quantification, resulting in rather strange "self portraits"...

Gabrielle & Philip will not be running workshops, but will be available for answering questions about their practice during the whole of Saturday.
